SiteWatch™ by Pyxis Systems is a lightweight, Windows-based site monitoring application that consolidates feeds from all your IP cameras and web-based sensors into a single, always-on dashboard. Designed for facility managers, construction sites, remote operations, and security-conscious property owners, SiteWatch turns a standard PC into a powerful, centralised eye on every corner of your operation.
One dashboard for every camera
SiteWatch automatically discovers and connects to your configured camera fleet - including RTSP, RTSPS (UniFi Protect), and standard web stream sources - and presents them in a clean, scrollable gallery view. Whether you have two cameras or two dozen, every feed is captured, refreshed, and displayed side-by-side at the interval you choose. Built-in support for UniFi Protect automatically converts secure RTSPS URLs into compatible RTSP streams, so even high-end NVR systems integrate effortlessly.
Beyond live viewing, SiteWatch acts as a time-lapse and audit recorder. Each camera's frame is captured on a configurable schedule (default 60 seconds) and saved to a shared network folder of your choice - perfect for project documentation, compliance archives, or remote review. A flexible image retention policy automatically purges older captures after a set number of hours, keeping disk usage predictable without manual housekeeping.
Two operating modes
- Full mode - visual gallery of all live camera tiles, ideal for control rooms and on-site monitors.
- Summary mode - a compact status panel showing total captures, uptime, CPU, RAM, network throughput, and a live countdown to the next capture. Perfect for headless servers, kiosks, or background workstations that just need to do the job quietly.
SiteWatch is engineered for 24/7 unattended operation. Powered by industry-standard LibVLCSharp for robust RTSP handling and WebView2 for modern web-page snapshots, it handles flaky networks, slow streams, and dropped frames gracefully. An intelligent memory manager performs adaptive garbage collection to keep the application's footprint low, even after weeks of continuous runtime - and a built-in restart button lets operators recover instantly if needed.
A simple, human-readable XML configuration file (SiteWatch.XML) defines your site name, capture interval, output folder, retention window, operating mode, and the full list of sensors. An integrated Edit Config button opens the file directly from the dashboard - no installers, no databases, no cloud dependencies.
