AllSkyMonitor

See the whole sky, all night long.

AllSkyMonitor

AllSkyMonitor is a professional-grade observatory companion for astronomers, astrophotographers, and remote-site operators who need to know - at a glance - exactly what the sky above them is doing. Running on Windows with the latest .NET 10 platform, it transforms an all-sky camera into a complete, automated night-watch system.

Whether your hardware is a high-sensitivity ZWO ASI camera or any ASCOM-compatible imager, AllSkyMonitor speaks its language natively. A unified driver layer means you can swap or upgrade cameras without changing a single workflow - the app simply keeps watching.

AllSkyMonitor doesn't just take pictures - it thinks about them. An adaptive exposure and gain engine continuously tunes itself to the changing sky, smoothly transitioning from bright twilight to deep-night conditions. At night it automatically switches to mono-mode for cleaner star fields; by day it preserves colour detail. Real-time brightness, contrast, and gamma controls let you fine-tune the live view without ever stopping the capture loop.

Built-in sky awareness

A dedicated background WatchDog continuously monitors sensor temperature, classifying conditions from freezing to critical with colour-coded alerts. If something drifts out of safe range, you'll know instantly - protecting both your equipment and your imaging session.

With a single click, AllSkyMonitor publishes a live, auto-refreshing web dashboard featuring your latest sky image, site information, exposure data, gain, sensor status, and SQM reading. Friends, collaborators, or remote observatory clients can simply open a browser - no extra software required.

AllSkyMonitor is more than a camera viewer - it's an all-sky observatory in a single application: capture, analysis, environmental safety, and public sharing, working together so you can focus on what matters most - the sky itself.
